Can the number of yeast infections you've had, have any effect on the ability to become pregnant. Any other infections that might result in infertility?

Yeast Infections - No, but reecuuring yeast infections may signal something else is wrong.

Other Infections - Yes, depends on which kind. Also it's sometimes only a risk if it goes undetected.

(So get your annual 'gynee check up and be open and honest with your OBGYN about sexual history; be informed and ask lots of questions!)

yeast infections don't. a uterine infection can cause problems with fertility though. they usually happen after childbirth, but i've never had children and was diagnosed with a uterine infection. the fertility specialist who diagnosed it feels that i had the infection for years (it could have happened during one of our fertility treatments or one of my surgeries). to diagnose it, he had to do a biopsy of the uterus. never got pregnant, but at least we finally had an answer and were able to move on.

Yeast infections can not cause infertility. But other infections that may lead to Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)can.

Thanks. I hope this isn't a dumb question but are yeast infections contagious? If so, how can it be spread?
