So, what started you embroidering?

For me, it was a family thing. My mother, aunt and grandma all embroidered, and from when I was a little girl, I wanted to stitch as well.

My passion started young - and it's been 30 years now, and it still burns strong!

I don't remember why I started embroidering; I just recall that my mom handed me a hoop, a needle threaded with crewel wool, and a piece of fabric and showed me how to embroider over the designs. Probably she was trying to keep me out of trouble! I remember struggling with French Knots, but I'm better now.

That would have been a little over 30 years ago for me as well.
