Hello, I am new to this forum. I wanted to just tell everyone that I have two recently hatched chicks in my cockatiel cage, they are about three weeks old and are now climbing and eating on their own. The best thing is that these two were born just in hours of each other and are both solid white with red eyes. I didn't think I would ever have this color of bird since the four older ones are with color. The female is white and gray and the male is a gray with bright orange cheeks. Zin and Tao are there names (adults) I haven't decide what to name the two babies yet. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe. Have a great day. Angela

:)hi My cockatiel baby hatched 14 days ago I only got one baby out of 7 eggs. I am so happy with it though. It is a miracle how they grow so fast. I didn't think the babies ate on their own so soon. Some one told me not till 6 weeks old. My bird is just starting to get feathers. Joyce

Congratulations on your baby Joyce. Yes, they do grow quickly, but at 14 days, the parents should still be feeding him. They can certainly start to taste some food on their own though.
