I didn't see this group here before. I have four wonderful horses (Buddy, Shiloh, Cherokee, and Jeannie. All QH.)
I posted in the rug/decorating topics about some of the stuff I do with hay twine. With horses you'll have twine.. So, your more then welcome to check out my post on here or you can also check out my blog.
I put instructions on how to make a curry comb out of hay twine on my blog (along with a video on how well it works) I also made the BEST darn outdoor rugs out of twine.
Here is why twine is so great for an outdoor rug.. It's strong (I read one strand holds 74 lbs.), it last forever it seems, when knitted it grabs dirt right off of your shoe, the dirt falls inbetween the knits then, once it does get dirty you just hose the thing off. They are great! Besides that it's something you'd just throw out most of the time.
I am glad to see this topic (of horses) on here. I'll be reading them all.
