So - it's been a bit since we all talked. I was wondering - what is your favorite way or method of plying? Do any of you use water when you ply? Do you prefer multiple plies, single plies, or do you have a special way of plying, like Navajo plying, that you like best?

Share with us - we'd love to hear your thoughts.

I ply mostly the normal way but because i spin fairly thin i do Navajo ply so that i don't have to ply 3 or more strands together. It depends on how i feel on the day and how much fibre i have etc. I have never used water to ply but i don't spin flax and that would be the only thing i could imagine using water with.I do however on occaision use a spray bottle with water a little bit of olive oil and a drop of dishwashing detergent to spray on Alpaca fibre as i am carding it when it is static. Thats mainly to stop it flying around and making me itch.
