Hi I�m pretty new to crocheting, I�m trying to make her a baby blanket from a Leisure Arts book called a Beginner�s guide Ripples for Baby to crochet. Of course I�m having trouble already with the instructions Toward the beginning it says;
(dc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch)twice,(dc, ch 1) 4 times in next ch.
So what does the twice mean - skip next ch twice or dc, ch 1 twice??

Also does the �4 times in next ch.� Mean to dc, ch1 4 times in the next chain?

make the stitches in the () brackets 2 times.
THEN >
(dc, ch 1) 4 times in next ch.
