I was not sure which forum to post this one, and i know there have been earlier posts on this topic.
I have been trying to help my brother in law, who has been suffering with this for over a year now. It mostly effects his legs about one hour after going to bed. A feeling of having to move the legs to get relief, which keeps him, and his wife awake for hours.
I have recommended he trys Magnesium, iron and folic acid, but just trying one for three months, to see which helps.
The Magnesium did not help, nore did the folic acid. However there was a slight improvement after taking iron. I asked him to try hot and cold water on the legs, just before going to bed, but i think that drew attention to the problem, and seemed to make it worse.
I am sure what he eats, can effect rls. It would seem that eating chicken makes it worse, as does chocolate.
Does anyone know of any links that may be useful.
