Hi friends! I thought I would share with you some snippets of a dream my husband had two nights ago to see what insights you might have.
He says that he was swimming in a lake he used to fish in as a boy. The lake is swampy/boggy and is mushy underfoot to get out to deep water. It is a lake known for snapping turtles and was never anyplace anybody local ever went swimming. John isn't so much afraid in this dream as he is just kind of repulsed by the ickyness of the lake itself and is being vigilant for those turtles (luckily no gnus Firefly!). He said he thinks that a fellow he used to work with about 15 years ago was there at the lake too and this guy's kids were also swimming.
I know that water is usually indicative of emotions; so maybe he's delving into some mucky emotional issues that go way back???? Granted, his family is something of a mess, but I don't know of anything current. What do you make of it? Thanks all, and Happy New Year! Trishh

Be kinder than you need to be. Everyone is dealing with something.

Hi trishh
you are right to connect water to emotional issues and its one of the universal signs with same meaning from culture to culture. Stagnant water also means being "stuck" emotionally and that its time to "shift gears".

There is also meaning of "lake" - Egyptians associated lake dreams with inner realms and used to have special "lake ceremonies" and in Celtic traditions lake was "the land of the dead", - inner, mysterious realm, deep unknown place.

If it was me interpreting your husband's dream, in addition to emotional issues, I'd suggest for him to take time, be still and to explore and deal with them in dept.

Hope this will help

Love Lara
