Hi all

As some of you know i have a 6ft long by 4ft wide aviary with 6 cockatiels. Anyway i have been offered a blue ringneck parakeet and was woundering if i can keep it with my cockatiels in my aviary?

Any Ideas and ifo on the great birds would be thankful :0)

im not sure if keeping the bird in the aviary is such a good idea i have never owned one of these birds but your question got me very interested and after doing some reasearch i found out that they generally dont do well wiht other species but im not sure if this is true or not, hopefully mavis can help you more or it may be better to post ur question on the exoctic pets board.

Blue Ringnecks are beautiful birds, but they are larger than Cockatiels and I don't think I would put them in the same aviary together. Many of the grass parakeets from Australia are fine to put in with tiels, but I haven't had personal experience with these guys and would hesitate to add one in with them.
