It seems like weight and image have become so important in society today, probably too important. I�m glad that Lifetime and other networks are helping to present both sides of the story. They have this new movie coming out called To Be Fat Like Me, it looks AMAZING and really inspirational.

I saw the previews to that movie and I definitely want to see it. I work as a nurse with obese patients and the cruelty that people show towards obese people infuriates me. Not all people are obese because they eat too much; genetics and some health related issues also play a major role in being obese. I believe the last study I heard about said that 65% of Americans were over weight or obese. That is an astounding number. Let us know what you thought about the movie.

The movie "To Be Fat Like Me" premiers on January 8th at 9pm (EST) on the Lifetime Movie Channel.
