I suppose it depends on how much trouble you are willing to endure to get them done. You can remove pockets, embroider or applique them, put on lace, and restitch them to the overalls--sometimes. Or you could use iron-on decorations on the pockets and concentrate on lace edging where you can just attach it easily. I have seen some done where the pockets were decorated without removing them, rendering them unusable as pockets--but cute. You might have to open a leg seam to embellish a leg (except for toddler overalls with crotch snaps) Using the pregathered eyelet lace with the finished edge makes sewing the lace behind the bibb or on the bottom of a leg easy. Or gather your own and sew it on top with rickrack or a ribbon to cover the raw edge. They are fun! Complete the set with a shirt trimmed to match.
