We have three parakeets, but I have to admit, the green one, the first one we got, is our favorite. We spent a lot of time with her training her and so on. Ironically, the reason we got a second was that she was in her 'teenage years' and was cranky, so we figured she might want some bird-friends. Now she's in her middle age and sweet again and she's our favorite.

Nazo looks like a real sweetie. What are your other birds' names?

The second bird we got was Pinto. We got this one from the same hand-feeder breeder but Pinto was a larger bird. Even when all 3 are adults Pinto is the biggest. I guess she's just a big bird. But she bullies the other two around. We named her Pinto because of her white spots, sort of like a Pinto Pony.

Here is Pinto and Nazo on my boyfriend's shoulders.

Our third bird was gotten because we figured Pinto was beating on Nazo too much. And for some reason Nazo-Pinto kept reminding us of Nina-Pinta so the third had to be something like Santa Maria. But since the first two ended in O we went with Santo Mario for the third bird's name. We call her Santo for short.

She's the quietest of the bunch, she was also hand-raised but as she went right into a 'flock' she's the most bird-like of the three. All 3 will come out on our hands and such, but while Nazo will eagerly jump onto our shoulders, Santo will just follow whatever the other two do.

Pinto is on the left, Santo on the right.
