One thing I love to do in the winter is take a vacation somewhere tropical that when we leave it's either bitter cold or snow on the ground. Probably sounds crazy to most but we do it every year. Also I like on very cold windy and snowy days is to crawl up with my blanket on the couch in front of a warm fire with a good book and open the blinds so periodically I can see the weather outside.

From snow/bitter cold to the trops? Actually it sounds exciting and fun. I have never done that. Once I did come home to unexpected snow though--brrr. I do love to do the couch thing with a good book in winter.
