An alleged serial rapist was just arrested in Philadelphia, charged with (9?) sexual assaults. He met his victims thru an on-line dating service.
In a report on the arrest, a speaker on behalf of women or victim's advocate or something (not just 'woman on the street') noted that sexual predators are just like the rest of us - they look normal, they act normal...
What I wonder about is this: the alleged perpetrator, upon meeting his victims, described himself to them variously as a former astronaut, a doctor, a CIA operative. Who in their right mind believes people they met on on-line dating boards when they introduce themselves as such?
I am not attempting to blame the victims. Gullibility creates no invitation to nor validation of rape or any other sexual conduct.
But shouldn't/wouldn't such grandiose claims raise a red flag with you?
