Hi! I'm new here on the boards <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

A couple of months back, I bleached my hair (dark brown) to an orangey-yellow, then dyed a deep pink over it (atomic pink, if you are familiar with "Special Effects" hair dye). I just did the ends - maybe 2 - 3 inches. It looked great, but as any funky color does, it faded out within a few weeks and I really didn't like the look. I dyed over it with L'oreal Excellence, but that still left my ends a cherry red.

Soo, my question is, what other "OTC" (non-salon/Sally because I live in Japan and going to a salon here is just outrageous, and we don't have Sally beauty supply) dye can I use that will pretty much cover the cherryish color? I don't mind if it's a little darker than the rest of my hair - I would just like that cherry color covered! Hubby & I have a special ocassion coming up and I'd like for my hair to be at least close to natural colored for it (USMC birthday ball if you're familiar with the military).

Thanks girls! And yay, my first post! Hehe.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

What color would you like your hair to be? Dark brown?
