A friend of mine is a hair dresser and I told her that I noticed my hair would get very oily no matter how many times I washed it, it was just always oily. She told me that the more you wash your hair, actually the more oily it gets. Washing your hair strips your hair of the natural oils and by continuously washing it your hair tends to produce MORE and MORE oil, leaving your hair extra oily. LOL.. that came out a little more confusing than how she explained it to me. And apparently shampoos from grocery stores, drug stores etc have more wax that are put into the shampoo which also makes your hair very oily. If you want shampoo with less wax buy from a salon (it's more expensive, but you also use less of it because you should be washing your hair less, and only use a dime sized amount of shampoo) I was told to wash my hair with shampoo 2-3 times a week, and for the rest of the week when I shower just to rinse my hair very well with hot water(as hot as you can stand it) which helps get rid of the wax build up. I noticed a wonderful change in my hair after about 2 weeks. I don't know if that's what your problem is, but that's what I was told, so I tried it and it worked! Good luck to you <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It could be a few things. I'm still not sure of the real culprit. I have noticed it ceasing a bit (the fall out).. Not as much. I've been under stress and I was not eating properly. For a good long while. I lost over 35 pounds in one year..due to not eating much. Especially protein. But..I did dye my hair twice within 6 weeks. I went dark to darker. No blonde color or bleach. My stylist didn't seem too concerned about it..but I do wonder if that didn't accerlate my hair loss. It's just much thinner than it used to be. I have no bald spots. My hair is NOT coming out in clumps. I just noticed drastic thinning and it's lifeless..hair that I've seen on other women who don't eat well. I've really increased my caloires and am eating much better than I used to. I see lots of re-growth and am just hoping as my diet improves the thickness of my hair will improve. I've heard olive oil is good??

From what you describe, it looks like your diet is responsible. Now that you are eating properly wait and watch for few months. yes, olive is good for hair.
