Hi KrazyKarver.
I make tiny dolls with wooden beads for their heads and created a very easy pattern for a dress that can be embellished for an angel or just a ladies dress, or a baby's gown. Just lay your finished doll down on the fabric, having the neck rest on the fold, mark where you want the hemline and sleeve hem, mark two dots on each side of the neck and draw the dress around the doll then cut out. Sew the underarm and side seams in one continuous seam, hem the sleeves and bottom of dress, cut out a v for the neck and a slit in the back of the neck long enough to give room to slip the dress onto the doll, then sew the neck slit closed. The same can be done for a boy dolls shirt. I have made some darling angels by just attaching some lace, cut into fan shapes for the wings.
