Hi beautiful women.

I have spent a long time, and still am working on my inner self. I am now finding that even though the outer world doesnt matter I want to be happy and authentic in what I look like, (which has been neglected for a very long time) and now that I am coming out to grasp a new me and a new look I am feeling lost and do not know where to start? Does anyone have any advice or help for where I should start???

You say "I want to be happy and authentic in what I look like". Are not happy with the way you look now? Try changing the easy stuff like your hair, go lighter or a bit darker, or maybe a cut. What about changing your style--do something to jazz up the way you dress. That may help.

I just spent the summer feeling somewhat off the mark about myself, I finally realized that it was my hair that was making me feel less than 'professional'. It was not long, not short and no style <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I started with a hair cut and color, that perked me up and did help with a better all-over feel and look. I felt so good that I have been giving myself pampering facials. Maybe something small like this could help you get started. It has been a blessing for me.

Hair and clothes are the easiest. Hair's less expensive overall and can make a more dramatic difference, because it is closer to your face, which is what most people look at first. But, it does take longer to change back (look at me - I know! LOL!)

Also, do you wear glasses/ contacts that you could switch back to the other? This is a change on the face that makes a difference. A change in makeup - especially now that we are changing seasons, you can head to Ulta or Sephora and get a free makeover and tips and get a whole new look! (I love the way makeup makes me feel!) I also really love jewelry, I can change the whole way the same outfit feels by the type of jewelry or accesories (like scarf, hat, etc.) that I put with it.

Now that I'm bald, I'm being extrememly bold in dressing, and tryiung all sorts of crazy things! It's like I lost my hair I lost my inhibitions (or a least the ones that relate to dressing wildly - I still don't do miniskirts or tight lowcut stuff!) <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
