Oh boy, how I still have a hard time dealing with this. You ask what reiki is and as soon as somebody sees this, they jump on it and try to *sell* reiki to you like it's some sort of product. I'll try to keep my frustration low on this, but cdmohatta, to answer your honest question: I am a reiki practitioner, 1st degree. I've studies reiki a bit and found more then 70 kinds of reiki, all with different names, attunements and visions. They all point to the same goal, they just have a different way of getting there. One road can be more rocky and unstable then the other. And one way can be more phony and *cough* expensive then the other... Watch out, or your wallet will be empty in no time. i am a reiki master now. I have been practising for last seven years. I am amazed at the variations. They all are phoney. There is one version of reiki. Other are all gimmics.

That's what frustrates me, they always claim that theirs is the one you should follow. I don't have that attitude, and that makes it easier to see all those phonny people... I guess that's my lessons I still have to learn. But I'm glad to see you are RM. Hope to become one some day as well, but the price is the only element that holds me back. That and having lots of other things on my mind as well, makes me feel I'm not ready for RM.

Please do not pay high price for second degree. They fleece.
Continue practising Reiki1 and you will get results equal to that of master.
Do this- Stand in front of a candle and ask the light to help you. You will feel the energy entering you. Do reiki after that. Practise this for some days, then I will tell you the next step.
