I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on doing hip lifts. I can't seem to manage to do them using just my hip. I always use my foot to push up.
Thanks for your help.

Bend your knees and then by straightening alternate legs, you can lift your hips while keeping your feet flat. If that's too hard to do, it means you need to do leg stretches to develop the flexibility (which is what I'm working on).

The key to good hip lifts has to do with the knee. Knees make your hips move.

Stand with your left foot flat on the floor, slightly lift the heel of your right foot (balls of the right foot touching the floor). You do have to bend the left knee in order to lift on the right side. Just a slight bend. As you bend the left knee, you feel a slight drop. When you straighten the left knee, lifting your right hip, you will have done a hip lift.
