Isabelle love, don't you think that in Liberia, the example you quoted, there are innocents? Surely the babies and children are innocent if not a whole load of adults as well? The regime might be corrupt, but not all of the people. It would be like me saying that all the American people are evil just because the American Government is a bad!

If the flood occurred all over the world, and if it occurred at a time when humans dwelt in other countries besides the one in which Noah lived, then you are saying that there was NO ONE on earth who was deserving of life?

That is illogical. it proves my point about the God of the Old Testament. He was no better than a terrorist. sorry, but just think about what you said.

If you were 'good'???!!! Perhaps that was a typo, and you meant to say: "If I was God" ?? Believe me, there is nothing 'good' about wanting to destroy people, innocent children, animals and defenceless creatures. That is evil.

Or am I wrong in thinking that your god gave us all free will? Wow! That's like the abusive parent who tells their child that they are free to do what they want, then kills them because they did just that!

That is murder, no matter who the perpetrator is, and that includes God.

I find it interesting when people take a natural disaster and twist it around to make it look like an act of God. After the effects of one bad hurricane a while back here in the US a Muslim friend of mine said God did it to us because of all the problems the US causes around the world. Not long after that that big earthquake hit Pakistan, I asked him what all those innocent people in Pakistan had done to make God so mad at them. He had no response for me. Did God send the tsunami to Thailand and Indonesia becasue they aren't Christian countries? Did God send Hurricane Katrina to New Orleans because of it's terrible crime problems?

It is easy to say well God did this because or God should have done that because. I bet Osama Bin Laden says God says that WE should be destroyed for being "infidels".

While WE are trying to destroy them in the name of God, they are trying to destroy US is the name of God! Does nayone beside me see something wrong here????????

That is a good thing of course.

A few years ago my family and I lived in a teeny little town way out in the woods in rural Oklahoma. The small Baptist church there decided to send ONE girl from the Church on a Mission Trip to Russia. It ended up costing a total of $3,000.00. I really felt that the money could have been put to way better use in the little commmunity where we lived that had so many needy people, instead of just sending one teenage girl to Russia where she gave away teddy bears!

The biggest Church in the town where we live now spent over ONE MILLION dollars adding on a new gym and classrooms to their Church. Imagine what THAT money could have done for the poor people in this town, which has one of the highest unemployment rates in this part of the state.

Of course it is their money, which they pay NO taxes on, and they can do with it what they wish, but it may seem cruel, but I don't understand spending an excessinve amount of money to help people overseas, when so much less could be spent, and go farther to help the many who need it here.

I have no problem with Christian folk going to help others in need as long as they don't try to convert them whilst they are about it! They say they are bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to people. What good news? It often doesn't turn out to be very good news at all. I wonder if Africa would be in the mess it is in today if the UK had sent missionaries to that country in the 19th century and colonised it at the same time?
