How do you read the following instruction?
K1 *K2tog, YO*, K1 repeat between the *
A) Knit one, knit two together, yarn over, repeat to end of row and then knit one. or B) Knit one, knit two together, yarn over, knit one and then repeat to end of row.
Please advise, thank you

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
I think it's probably Knit One, Knit Two Together, Yarn Over, repeat the Knit Two Together and Yarn Over in sequence to the end of the row then Knit One.
Might you be making a picot hem?

Having looked at some of the patterns I have knitted I think "B" is correct.
What are you making BTW?

Isles_Granny and followinghim, I don't know if you notice that neither of the K1 stitches is between the asterisks? I could be wrong, but I think the two K1s are at each end of the row and would be used as seam stitches.
I agree it would be interesting to know the pattern context!

Gillian, thank you for your comments. I mainly use Sirdar and Patons patterns, so maybe I am not familiar with the style being used in Cakis pattern. Maybe she would be kind enough to post the pattern and the pattern number please? I am curious now as well as a little confused. LOL

Well she can certainly post the pattern name and number, that would be helpful, and maybe point to where she is in the knitting.

Yes, I think that would be a good idea because with the information she has given the instructions do seem a little ambiguous don't they?

I'll weigh in, too.
If you knit it exactly the way it's written, A) would be true. But it doesn't really make sense. You can't end on a YO, after all. It's just not possible. So I'm guessing that what you really want to do is B). Essentially, the K1 are your beginning and ending stitches, with the K2tog, YO the actual pattern of the row.
Hope that helps, Becky
