Is it something I lost, or something that left me?

Is it something that died, or something that never could have lived?

Do I have to know why? Or can I just set it free?

I really wanted your heart to beat on forever.

But it stopped before I could even say hello.


What can you do when you know this is not what you know and what you know is nothing now?
All I can do is say goodbye and hope you�ll be happy wherever you�re going now.


Were you taken away from me, or did you never belong to me?

Did I somehow do it wrong, or was it all wrong from the start?

Do I have to know why? Or can I just set it free?

I really wish you could have stayed with us.

But I�ll never know why you couldn�t.


Where can I go when I know where I go will never lead me back to when you were with me?
