I drink the filtered water that comes outof my fridge. When i'm upstairs it's out of the tap, but I have a whole house filtration system.

As for flouride, it is SO dangerous, physically and cosmetically.

Whole house filtration is good - but apparently those pipes themselves in the house can be a problem! I hadn't thought of that before. We have a filter in our fridge for downstairs, and the Brita filter. Upstairs we have an under-sink filter for the cold water only, for the bathroom sink there. I guess it means I can't drink the water while taking a shower <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

We have the Aquasana "Rhino" Whole House Filter which removes chlorine, flouride, etc from the water before it enters our house.

We have a filter on our kitchen sink for home use and drink bottled water on the go. YOu're right, if you have the bottles, you tend to drink more of it.

In ORegon we had well water and it tasted great but I don't really trust city water.

My husband swears by Poland Springs. When he moved to Missouri a few years ago he almost died of dehydration b/c you cannot get Poland Springs here.

wink Well, its rather ironic, but we own a Water Softening Company, but do you believe I prefer bottle water?! For some reason I just enjoy the coldness and taste better. It is also just more convenient to grab a bottle, since I am on the go alot.

I am extremely picky when it comes to drinking water.

In a previous job I sold water filters amoung other things. Our water filter supplier was extremely keen and as a result we had to attend four, very boring 4-hour training sessions on water filters. I did however learn a lot.

I never realised how much rubbish they put in our local water. It only gets worse all the time.

I also learnt that there are filters that will do virtually nothing and there are filters that can take almost everything out. I know all the [censored] that is in the local water. At the moment, you wash your hands from the tap and you will smell very strongly of chlorine. Have a shower and you will come out smelling like you have gone swimming at the local swimming pool which is heavily chlorinated.

I will only drink water from a reverse osmosis unit.

I have a friend who has several tanks and has offered to fill up my bottles with his tank water, but I know the rubbish that is in that too - it is scary. As I only live on my own it is more economical for me to purchase bottled water than new filters each year. I drink "Nobles pureau water" It is the only one that I can find that is guaranteed to be 100% pure.
