The eve of July 31st and into the day of August 1st is the Pagan holiday of Lammas, the summer harvest. Another name for this day is Lughnasadh, named after the mother of a Celtic warrior, who founded games on this day to honor her memory. Do you observe this holiday and if so, do you do anything special? Lammas, The Summer HarvestLughnasadh Rituals

To you as well, Fiona!
There's a big ol' sunflower that has managed to grow in the compost pile that's hidden away in the corner of the yard. I think I'm going to get back there later today and clip one of the blossoms for my altar vase.

I'm so excited about Lammas....this is my first year to actually celebrate with a ritual and meal. I was pratically skipping around the grocery store today! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> [color:"orange"] [/color]
Happy Lammas to all!!
