Rice face powder. I normally don't wear any makeup on a daily basis and when I do, the main thing I do is powder my face for a more even skin tone and matte finish.

deep red lipstick for me - that's all I wear anyway

i would go for a lipstick! I always feel pretty on my red lips than having a blush-on without a lipstick.

I usually wear a full face of makeup - foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick - but for me, my mascara is the most important piece.

Eyeshadow--because it can double as eyeshadow or eyeliner; eye makeup is the only thing I usually wear.

eyeshadow...I agree with Katja..it can be pretty much any eye makeup you need. I have a good complextion, though *I* think my cheeks are too red. My eyes are my best feature so it has to be eyeshadow.

concealer ! i need to conceal my eyebags

mascara, unless you count tweezers as a makeup device! Essential after 45!

Foundation...really smooths out my skin tone. Can make do without everything else.

After giving this way more thought than I should, I decided on a sunscreen moisturizer. Everything else is optional.

Can we please rename this thread to: If you had to give up ONE piece of makeup, what would it be? It's just causing way too much anxiety!(In me for sure, I don't know about everyone else, but this is a pretty hefty thread...)

So here's the one thing I have let go of: mascara. Before allergies, mascara was a fetish. Now, if I so much as watch a streaming video, my eyes start to water, so mascara has been retired.

Contrariwise, when I was younger and presumably better looking, it was full war paint most of the time. Now, not so much, except for Occasions of State and even then, I might forego foundation. No one has complained (within earshot).
