when i was a kid i told everyone everything, as a teen i was an open book, but now i censer what i say because i am not a child anymore but my mom thinks now is a great time to give orders because when i was a teen she had nothing to say!! I had older chirstian women to share things with that i trusted and they gave good advice without jugdeing to hard. i think it depends on what your relationship is with your parents as to what you share. the ladies i went to for advice never told my mom anything unless they thought i was i danger. i am a BIG FAN or second Moms they more the better!!!

I see that you have good advice already. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I agree. Try to be as open and truthful as possible with your parents. You need that relationship with them. It is better for you and better for them.

If there is something that you feel you cannot share, be sure to share it with a responsible Christian adult. You need the feed-back. We all do, even as adults.

I always tell my kids (who are practically grown) that the most important thing they have is our trust. And if they violate that, then they have to pay the consequences. I have had minimal problems with them and they come to me alot with whatis going on in their lives. I value this and try ot give them objective feedback with only a little mom thrown in for good measure. I found through (all) the years (lol) that giving respect always produced a wealth of it.

Need to know, need to know.
My parents aren't exactly the open kind so I tell them the parts they will want to hear. If it will upset them and it doesn't effect them in any way, then they don't need to know.
