I love this story!

We recently were with friends when his mother died. This couple were desperatly trying to bring her to Christ. I wasn't allowed in the ICU room because it was only family. His wife came out and asked me, desperatly, what she should read to her mother in law to get her to see the light. I reccommended this passage, it just came to me (the Lord, of course) and she hurried back in with my Bible opened to the page.

About a half an hour after they came out of the room and we all went back downstairs to the other waiting room. They said his mother had died. But not without Christ. His wife told me how when she read that passage, her mother in law had begun to cry and nodded her head. When he had begun praying for his mom, she had nodded along and received Christ right then. We all felt relieved and sad at the same time. Our friend simply said that at least he would see his mom again and that that gave him comfort.

It's miraculous because no matter what we struggle with, whatever our affliction, God will take it for us. He will restore our soul. I love this one!

I think that occasionally if you have faith in something it can effect a cure. I doubt it has anything to do with God though, much more a quirk of the human psyche! God would have to be a whimiscal monster to cure some, and not cure others!

We own a field in North Wales, UK where there were reports of visions of the Virgin Mary in 1997 and on going miracles of healing claimed! I am a sceptic, but even I received almost instant healing for a very painful frozen shoulder when standing at the gate of my field. I believe that as I wanted it enough I got it, nothing to do with god.

I think it takes more faith to believe that than it does to believe in God.
Do you think you wanted cured more than some poor person who has a fatal disease or who has a life long handicap?

No I don't think I had much faith that I would be cured. I think that cure and faith don't really have much to do with each other and the old man in the sky doesn't come into the equation at all. The body and mind can do the most amazing things sometimes. As I said in a previous post ~God would have to be a monster playing games with us if he cures some and not others. Although I believe the deity exists within the human psyche, I don't bleieve it to be an external force. No humans, no God. But of course I could be very wrong indeed!
