Susan Polk, stabbed her 70 year old husband 27 times with a paring knife and she is DEFENDING herself against a 1st degree murder charge.

Susan, states she is a psychic and Dr. Felix Polk, who was a prominent psychologist was also a Mossad Agent with Israeli assassin connections.

Mrs. Polk, who is now 48 met her then husband when she was 15 yrs. old.
She was his patient and was being treated for a panic disorder and would often be hypnotized. Susan, also claims they began a patient client relationship, and sexual in nature.

Susan Polk has expert testimony, saying the 27 stabs wounds didn't kill him.

But, the heart attack he had at the time of the crime did.
And, the reason he had the heart attack was because he had 75% blockage of arteries of his heart.

This has been one of the strangest trials.

First, Susan Polk defends herself on a 1st degree murder charge and she wasn't doing a bad job.

Second, she actually finds an expert that testifies Dr. Polk didn't die from the 27 stab wounds, but from cardiac arrest.

There were 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th's more reasons.

But, listen to this....

Susan Polk, just smiled today in an interview.
She wants either Winona Ryder or Susan Sarandon to play her in a movie and Anthony Hopkins could play her husband.

Susan Polk, also had a following they have been labeled "gavel groupies."
They are the trial watchers.

They visited Susan Polk's $1.85 million dollar home, where the murder happened and had wine & cheese. Does this not sound morbid?

The son which testified on behalf of Susan, turned 21 years old today. He spent it in jail, while he awaits transportation to prison.

Dr. Linda Barnard, testified Susan was battered and beaten by Dr. Felix Polk for years, and suffered with PTSD.

Susan had attempted suicide at age 23.

Dr. Felix Polk, had also attempted suicide in 1955 and was diagnosed with a "schizophrenic reaction."

I bet this was one heck of a household to grow up in.
No wonder one of their sons stated, he was glad both parents was out of his life -- he finally had peace and stability.

Well, I don't know if Susan Polk is crazy, but she sure is clever. She called a psychic detective to testify in her defense.

Annette Martin, has worked with Law Enforcement agencies in solving crime cases for the past 34 years.

Ms. Martin was about to say, that Polk was a psychic when the Judge objected, cut her off.

Polk accused the judge of "making faces."

"I object" Polk said. "You're making faces, blowing out of your mouth, putting your fingers on your head, and looking angry." Source: CourtTV

They are scheduled for Closing arguments on 6/12/06. Susan told the Judge she wasn't ready and needed more time, because she was tired.

The inmates were keeping her up at night with all the screaming and hollering.

Susan Polk has given her closing arguments, as well as the prosecution -- We're on a Verdit Watch.

There is so much evidence for the jury to review.

Susan, reminded the Jurist how Dr. Felix Polk, her then therapist drugged and had sex with her as his patient when she was 14 years old.

Two of the most important witnesses, her sons had been brainwashed by Felix and hated her guts.

And, she reminded them of the years of abuse.

This is no lie, they both physically, emotionally and mentally abused each. In return, they both did alot of damage to their children.

Felix and Susan both were sick and I don't mean that in a bad way, it was sad -- destroyed lives.

All that money and it couldn't buy them peace.

Unfortunately, had she good legal rep. (and had she not fired the ones she had), she may have gotten often lightly.

Based on how she handled the case, I don't expect any less than 1st degree.

Longtime no hear from....

Yup, couldn't agree more she would have stood a darn good chance of walking out those doors to freedom.

In my opinion only, that was a sick household very unhealthy an very abusive.

But, I still have to give her some credit.
Her background of no Legal and what society called a simple housewife, she did a good job but probably not good enough to send her home.

Susan found some good witnesses to testify for her.
They presented good reasonable doubt, if nothing else.

Everyone can Boo me if they want, but I've been praying for her tonight.

I think she became delusional. I think he contributed to her mental condition. He had a conflict of interest in treating her while dating her. I have physicians in the family and that's a big no-no.

Yep, big conflict of interest.

I don't think they ever had a fair fight, He used everything he knew about her illness, weaknesses, triggers etc.

I'm not promoting Susan stabbing him 27 times, though.

I also think she became delusional.

The jury has found Susan Polk guilty of 2nd degree murder.
She is now facing 16 years to Life in prison.
Sentencing is July 20th.

Susan has requested for a public defender to help prepare motions for appeal.

The jurors called Susan Polk, delusional often erratic but extremely smart.
