I love movies that are based on actual hauntings. I haven't seen "American Haunting" yet - I wanted to hear first who dies (don't know that I can handle seeing a little girl die from ghostly attack).

I thought the Ring and the Ring two were good, though the first one gave me nightmares...

When I was a teenager I saw Poltergeist, and LOVED it.

Hmm... I really love ghost movies that are more likely to be true... I just can't seem to think of any at this moment

There's no question I love ghost themed movies the best lol

I think Scooby Doo, Poltergeist, and the Scary Stories to tell in the Dark series by Alvin Schwartz paved the way for my paranormal thrust growing up.

I like Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein. And Dracula, The Invisible Man, the Werewolf, and there might be one other scary dude in the movie that I am forgetting. That is about as scary as I can take them. P.S. Sleepy Hollow is not scary.

Is The Sixth Sense considered a horror movie? In that case, that's my favourite too. I also thought The Ring was excellent - that scared me senseless!
