My family and I have lived in our current house for a little over 4 years now. Odd, but not really scary things have been happening ever since we moved in.
Our TV's will change channels by themselves and will turn themselves on and off. The satellite people told me this might be from our neighbor (we live in a duplex) changing their channels and it affecting ours. But say 80% of the time she was never home. My husband and I were just sitting up alone watching TV one night and a VHS tape that was barely sitting in a turned off VCR pushed in and started playing on the TV. My husband always humored my "ghost stories" until he saw that happen himself.
The things that happen are pretty boring sometimes. Twice a whole shelf of my children's books have knocked down on their bookcase while none has been near it. Or my shoes that I just had taken off one of them rose up from the floor and quickly went back down.
But then sometimes to it can be kind of unnerving. I was in my bedroom on my computer and I had my door shut and I could clearly hear a child's voince calling "Mommy" outside my door. I went and opened it up and no one was there. I see a lot of "shadows" out of the corners of my eyes. Things like that.
My 20 year old stepson who just recently moved out used to hear people having conversations when everyone in the house would be asleep.
A few months back we had a new fmaily move in next door. One day I saw her standing outside looking kind of down and I asked her what was wrong. She kind of hesitantly asked me if we eve see anything strange in our house. I had never told her about the things we have seen since I barely knew her. She said that both her and her husband saw a "blue orb" materialize in their living room and float down the hallway! <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> And also that they had gone out one day and came home and all their kitchen cabinets were opened and things messed up. She also said that one night they could clearly hear voices in their baby daughter's room over the baby monitor when everyone else in the house was asleep.
Their is ALOT of tension in their home and since they have moved in not many "odd occurences" have been happening in my house except the other night I was sitting up enjoying my quiet time after the kids had gone to sleep when all of a sudden this terrible feeing of being afraid swept over me and I had to leave the room. I still have NO idea what that was all about. It just came out of the blue. I haven't felt it again though.
