Hi freebubbles,
Welcome.
I am a Christian and yes I believe in biblial Christianity.
I believe the Bible is God inspired truth.
I believe in One Almighty Powerful God.
I believe that Jesus is God who became flesh and came to us to save us. The why part is rather lengthy, but if you will look at my site - Christian Living - there are many articles that explain why. Here is one.

Is Jesus God?

I attend a non-denominational church.

I'm on my way to work this morning but will be happy to chat with you here in the forum when I get back.

Why do I believe the Bible? Because truth calls to truth. The truth in the Bible spoke to that deep part of me and started making changes in me.

Why do I believe in Jesus? The instant I believed and trusted in Him, the Holy Spirit turned my life around. I didn't have to turn against anything I wanted to do. What I wanted changed, what I felt changed. The way I loved changed. The way I looked at the world changed. I can have half as much money or things or position as I used to have and be twice and happy.

I realize that the article I listed doesn't say why I believe in Jesus but I had to be quick since I was supposed to be on my way to work. The reason I love the Bible is in the personal part of almost every article I write.

Amen... that testimony can and will move people in a way that will make them wonder about the Bible. start to read and get there minds and hearts into a place where they can hear and receive God on a level that fact will never do. I am sure there is more to your story. here is a challenge:
1) the next time God puts Some one in you path that ask you one of these Question. Give them a personal account instead of Bible versus. when you know that they are ready to hear the Word of God. then by all means...

2)Walking the talk in a way that shows your different because GOD is your life. is the best testimony EVER.

3) Dont show them what you cant do show them that GOD said in His WORD that all things are possible through His SON
All things are permissible but not all things are Beneficial

4) most important Judge not lest ye be Judged

Anyways I blow my cover.. I was trying to do a reseach on how well Christians are prepared to help non believer. I got the idea when i was reading post on the Bible Basic forum. there were Muslin and Wicca and all of these people who are non believer asking Chirstians Queastion. I love the idea and the more i read the more i though ummm we are missing the biggest point by getting chaght up in big wigg and mr Science says this and fact according to who ever said whatever taht prove nothing to no ones heart. it makes for great debate and endless hours of hard thought and where does it get us. More knowlegde and we may sound smarter but well it ever chang the fact we believe? is are faith that unstable that we believe others are that weak in the own faith that they would change there hearts and mind because of someones facts and theorys? Just a thought lee

(Had to list these so I could remember them all!)

When I was younger and "searching" and thought I knew everything, I did question the Christian faith; even though I had been raised in a baptist church all my life (am still a Baptist to answer the denomination question.) Questions like "what if there is no God?", "What if the other religions are right and we're wrong?", "what if there's no heaven and death is the end?" used to haunt me.

But I heard a song by an accapella group called the Nylons (not Christian BTW) called "This Island Earth" - in the bridge it says, "If you're looking for a miracle open up your eyes, there was one this morning just about sunrise, dawn came breaking like a wave on the sea, and it's there for you and me."

it got me thinking that there is too much in this world to be left up to chance, science can explain "why" everything happens, but can it explain "how" everything started to begin with? No, not really. I've seen how the human body is put together in sugery, that's too much for "chance" - a Designer did that. And as for eternity; to put it quite simply - if i am wrong and there is no heaven, I lose nothing. But if others are wrong and there is...

Ok I'll have to come back and answer the rest of the questions in a separate post - the 3 yr old is flinging oatmeal.

thank you for changeing it after I read it I thought that I thought the title sounded a bit.. sacastic or "just want to start a fight"-ish. oops
on a side note, i would like to ask another Question. is changing demonations wrong? and what are the differences in the denomations?
I was raised Nazerine and they believe you CAN fall from Grace.. I thing it is Baptist that believe once saved always saved. Thats a big big difference. so where does that leave us?
and how close are non-demonenal churches to a universal church? and is that a bad thing or not?
I am not trying to start a fight. I'm just confused.

I don't think it is wrong to change denominations but I think it must be for reasons that are well thought out. Not something like - "I don't like the music." which is a big thing now.

I'm sure that there are others here that can give you great answers as to the differences in denominations, so I won't go into that.

Denominations are man-made. This isn't a bad thing, but sometimes (often) they start putting in rules and regulations that were not in God's design. When I choose a church, I do my best to see if they follow biblical guidelines set by Jesus for Christian behavior.

Some of the tougher questions reguire more Bible study and PRAYER and making your own decision - such as the difference you described about whether you can fall from grace. You can talk to either side of the issue and very sincere Christians will give you good answers to support their view. That's why we are to study the Bible ourselves and not always rely on someone else to expain it to us. Don't misunderstand me, I think we all need good preaching too. We all need accountability and hopefully our pastors will give us a new perspective on the Word.
