Does anyone have a crochet pattern for a tunic (abt 30" long) in a size large using crochet cotton. I would prefer a round neckline, not too low cut and either short sleeves or a cap sleeve?

About crocheting socks? I tried to post this question few days ago but guess I didn't do correctly. Anyhow, what kind of yarn did you like to crochet socks with? I can't knit.

http://www.woolneedlework.com/Yarn/regia.htm I would use sock yarn. I did knit my very first pair of socks using lionbrand wool ease and they wore out really fast <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> the link I gave you sells the sock yarn really cheap. queen

Hi Marie,

With the new super washed wool sock yarns you wouldn't believe how soft they are. You might not know they are wool. I am a handspinner and the problem with commerical yarns is the use to many chemicals in the wool and this what makes the scratchy and itchy.

I found the best sock pattern booket it is call Comfy cozy socks by Janet Rehefeldt & Mary Jane Wood. They look knitted and you do the heel almost like you are knitting but with a crochet hook.
If you don't like wool for socks your can just use a acrylic sportweight yarn. But it is hard to find in Wal Mart of even a baby fingering yarn. Anne fish
