Going for a psychic reading can be really helpful, but only if you find a good psychic. What can you do to improve your chances of getting a useful reading? Have a read of my advice:
Choosing a Psychic Reader

I had a real waste of money reading years ago when I was new to this game. Instead of waiting at a fair for the psychic I wanted I went to the one who had no-one waiting. He proceeded to spend most of the 'reading' telling me about the history of palm reading & the tarot & said very little about what he actually 'saw', which was all extremely vague. I doubt somehow he saw anything. These days I would probably have stood up & walked away. I had another who reeled off so many names that it was an odds-on certainty at least one or two would eventually materialise- nothing very psychic about that!

On the other hand as I've gained experience I've found a couple of excellent readers who really get specifics, like the reader who saw me moving to Wales (I was actively looking by then) and pinpointed which area of Wales I'd be going to (& that had been where I'd been looking too). I also know a reader who has now become a good friend who told me things specific people would do so accurately that I've had to keep a straight face when they've announced their decisions- especially as they often use the exact reasons & terms she predicted.

Who else has had experiences of good, bad, or 'ugly' when it comes to getting a reading? Post here- but no names please!!

Good advice Lauren... good money can race after bad in the game to gain some psychic insight. I've had very limited psychic reading experiences but the first was the most memorable. We were at a company outing at the rather pathetic Medieval Times show in Toronto about 15 years ago. They had let out fortune teller booths for the appropriate medieval faire ambiance they sought and I got talked into having a reading done along with a coworker. She had her reading and then I had mine. It took all of five minutes, but the woman said that I was going to be given a promotion at work. None was on the horizon, but I tucked it away for consideration. The very next day I was given a promotion to manager of the flagship store of the half dozen we had cross country. I was flabbergasted. I actually sought out that same reader for private readings a couple of times at her home parlour, but never had a reading so dramatic and accurate. I then figured I had spent more then enough of the promotion pay rise on psychics! Hmmmmmm. T

Be kinder than you need to be. Everyone is dealing with something.

My first experience was with my sis in law, who does such things. I went to her in May 2002, worried because I thought I was going to die that year, and did not know what to do or how to act. (it was just a strong feeling) We talked and then she said "let me give you a reading". She said she saw me in the hospital, thought I was going to have surgery. She also said I was going to get a business license. I vehemently denied both of those happening, they are on my list of things to Not Do. Seven months later, my daughter was in a wreck, I was at the hospital. Two months before she died, she got a business license. When we discussed this, my sis said those two things must have been coming through for my daughter, not me. Then, 7 months after she died, a psychic medium was doing a group thing around the corner from my house. I was very upset, and did not know if I could go (my sister and sis in law were going), but it was the 7 month anniversary of my daughter dying, to the day, and I told them if I could go I would meet them there. I realized "if this is true, Jenn will want me to be there". So I got up and went. There were 200 people there. The psychic medium spent more time on me than anyone else. There was strong energy between my group, the four people sitting next to us, and the four in front of us. The woman could barely get away from us. My sister and sis in law spent the entire time writing things down that were coming through for me. Some things I did not respond to because I wanted other people to think they were getting something. More than 50 times I received validations. She said "who is Jennifer?" (standing next to me), and I said "that is my daughter". A few minutes later she looked right at me and said "then who is Firefly?", and I said "that is me". When the session was up, I immediately left and hopped in my car and tore out of there. I was all freaked out, and I was afraid the crowd was going to beat me up and want their money back, because most of the time had been spent on me. As I was racing to my car, a woman waylaid me and said OMG! I can't believe all the stuff that came through for you! I agree!! I have one other story but will save that for a different post.

That sounds like an awesome experience Firefly & just what you needed. Don't feel apologetic, it is fascinating for others to see such strong survival evidence coming through.

Tell us more of your stories when you have the time
