well I was looking around at www.karpstyles.com and I saw 2 books that look good both from twilleys. One is just called Crochet and it has some very nice summer tank looking tops in it and the other one is crochet for kids and it is sweaters but they are so cute. Will tell you all more after they arrive.

 I just got that Twilley's book on ebay. It's got great patterns. I was just going to type in "projects for summer" Then I saw this one. I'm so excited I can't wait. But I Twilley's is so expencive I can only find it at Herrshner's at $3.99 a ball plus shipping and handling. The least one requires 4 balls most 7-16. Do you know a good substitute? Or a website that sell it discount?

I got #446(summer tops) and #398 (childrens sweaters) I haven't found a place that sells the twilleys yarn cheap. I use whatever I have handy.

:rolling: I had read somewhere that goldfingering is a slightly thinner thread. Do use a size 5, 8, or 10?

I use size 10 and just adjust the pattern a little if I have to. I haven't had a problem yet and another way is to use cone yarn, I found a whole tote full so I use it for alot of things.

As far as I know, they write in UK terms, so make sure to do sc when they say ss. I am currently working on making the long cardigan in the sirdar white crochet book and I got halfway done (or so I thought) with the back before I realized my mistake. Yes I had to rip it rip it and start over!!!

eek Whoops! Deleted message before I realized you answered. I should have clicked on refresh! I reread the pattern and checked my swatch. There are using UK but when they use ss they mean slipstitch. (At least in this one) It's only to make a loop for the strap to slip through. So I guess it really wouldn't matter too much if I did a sc or a ss. Thanks for answering me so fast.

I HATE RIP IT!
