There's another site that I just found.
Whitmorepublishing.com
They only accept manuscripts as a word file attached to an email. Visit teir site and they will send you there guidelines.
You dont have to send them any money. At all. They will tell you that and if they are interested in your submission, they will send you the contract offer. They post e books and regular books
Check them out.

Whitmore is currently owned by Dorrance and is a vanity publisher. Avoid them.

Lulu is a POD, or print-on-demand publisher, which means you pay them to publish your book (another type of vanity press). I'll tell you who's hungry for new writers is Scholastic, as the Harry Potter craze is fading, and it needs some new blood. Good luck! Barbara http://www.barbarasloan.com/

Hey - I'm publishing successfully with Lulu.com - selling to about 2% of page views. It only costs for the ISBN here in The Netherlands. Books ordered in North America are printed in the states; books ordered in UK and Europe are printed in Spain. For the freedom it provides the author over all aspects including writing, artwork, publishing and marketing I wouldn't go back to a traditional publisher. That's been my experience. If you follow my links beginning here, you'll see my marketing pages - http://www.susankramer.com/books.html

I'm enjoying Lulu, also. Their percentage is low, compared to others, and you don't have major upfront costs. Vanity Press or not, they're great to work with.

I really don't know anything about publishing but I am currently working on a few things and probably will take the first bite I get, I will be overly excited about it.
