It's good to hear that all materialised as it should for you. Manifesting sometimes has to wait on Divine timing. I just keep getting told patience...for two years now...and I'm not a patient person
Deep breaths and visualise...

Lauren - if you go visiting Firefly, you must let me know- because in the scheme of things, AL and GA are not far apart AT ALL!
I must meet at least one of my gurus on here!
Now, back on track - having trouble with visualization these days (big surprise!) Mine tend to include holding someone's head under the peaceful stream (doctors, therapists, receptionists, etc). Somehow I think that blows the whole meditation thing.

Michelle, I am bowled over to be called a guru but I certainly would love to meet you one day!
Your visualisation isn't strictly speaking calm...let them up for air now & again Annoyingly it is at times like this that the most benefit can be got from visualisation... but also it is the hardest time to get into that relaxed state of mind. Practice on an 'up' day & hopefully that serene place will still be there for you when life is tough.

It is funny that I just read this. Michael is home again - and we were talking about visualizations and such to help him control his temper and calm down.
I told him about the one someone had mentioned in one of the other threads about the huge thermometer representing anger and frustration and picturing it coming down as his frustration and anger calmed down- he loved that one!
And then last night for me I realized it is not so much about pictures as it is about scent and sound (which should have been kind of obvious to the musician inside of me).
But I was outside on my porch, my husband had mowed the lawn - so there was the fresh grass smell and the honeysuckle is in full bloom - so this really seet smell that I love. And I closed my eyes and was just smelling the grass and honeysuckle and listening to the crickets and few birds and the breeze rustling the trees. I really don't remember any image that wne talong with it, just "This is nice".
Not exactly meditation - but relaxing none the less!

Michelle, your sensations style meditation reminded me of the one I go to whenever I am about to be very physically stressed (eg pain... dentists, drs. etc) I remember a totally perfect summer night, swimming in the dark in our pool. We lived in that wonderful house for only 4 summers, but something about that night was just right, the temperature, the feeling of the water on skin, the dark sky, the quiet countryside, just the sound of the water lapping at the edge of the pool. It never fails to calm me and take me to a better place than where I am physically for those few moments. Luckily I haven't had to use it for a while (must be time to visit the dentist again!) Thanks for reminding me! Trishh
Be kinder than you need to be. Everyone is dealing with something.

Now keep hold of that memory & picture it with full on senses as often as you can. The more you picture it the clearer it will stay in your memory & you'll be able to dip back into that relaxed feeling whenever you want, like Trishh dipping into the pool.
