Edwidge Jean, 52 yrs. old of Flatbush, Brooklyn
stated, that the Special Needs Child was out of control.
So, he double knotted her seatbelt, crossed her wrists,
then electrical taped them.

What was she trying to do?
The 7 yr. old girl got up from her seat, came to the
front of the bus where her backpack was, trying to fetch
a Harriet Tubman book to start her book report.

The little girl reported, that she was crying and he
kept on driving and smiling. The child's parents is not
upset with the school, they said it is a good school.

Edwidge Jean has been charged with unlawful imprisonment,
endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
He's only facing up to 1 year in jail - no prison time.

I like to personally feed him to the lions.

I hear what you are saying, and it is duly noted.
But, how can a grown adult not handle a 7 year old child?
They would have prolly thought the same thing, if he would
have phoned this in.

That's part of being a bus driver.

Parents of children with autism hear about this type of thing all the time across the country - well those that put their kids on a school bus.

I have read and seen on the news instances where they have had cameras on the buses and also parents have put tape recorders in the backpacks to record what bus driver and aide are saying about kid.

I drive my kid and walk the other one.

I have watched Maury before. And he had guests on that brought video tapes of bus drivers attacking the kids on their bus. In one of the video's the bus driver pulled over the bus and started hitting the kid, which this kid had autism. It makes me sad when i hear about things like this. No kid, definatley one with autism, deserves to be treated like this.

I think that it should be a law for states to put video camera's in every school bus. It doesn't matter how much money it costs, It should be for teh saftey of the riders, and so if something like this happens again that they have proof of it not happening or that it did happen.

That is a good idea and I wish it would hurry up and go into effect.
I am so glad my boys are grown and I don't have to worry about putting a child on the school bus.

My nephew is 8 yrs. old and there has been just awful nightmares with him on the bus.
One time TRIED to put him off at the wrong stop in the wrong community.

He REFUSED to get off the bus. He was only 6 yrs. old.
My little sister has been home for the past 1 1/2 she had another baby.
I don't think my brother in law nor does she really want to go back to work.
I hope not.

Ok, that was a mouthful.

Oh my gosh! It's a good thing your nephew knows where to be dropped off, or that would of been bad.
