on the insides
where my heart is-
held in a box
with the tattered papers
of your will.
my name cut out
with exacto knives
slicing at the facade i built.
you mulch my hope
with honeyed words
hiding the poison you gave me-
condoning his touch and proposals
on bended knee asking for incest
how dare you?
i will rise
from the grave you dug for me-
pale of skin
& hard of heart.
stake me and I will rise again
burn me and i regenerate
