Hi
Sometimes I feel that I'm the only one that wants to climb up on the roof and just let out a rip roaring scream of frustration!!

Is there anyone else out there that wants to join me on the roof?!

PM me if you want vent about SAHM situations.

With the holidays and all, I have been feeling very stressed. You are not the only one that feels like screaming. I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 7 month old. The 3 yr old is not playing well with the 7 month old. She is trying to walk and he kicks or pushes her down. I am at my end with them. I don't know how to get him to understand that he is bigger and can hurt her.

Vent away!!

Judith, I understand completely. Although I have a fifteen year old that doesn't play(!) well with her six year old brother!!

I homeschool my children, so I'm with them ALL THE TIME and trust me there are times when I could just about throw them both outside for a couple of hours!!

But then I calm myself and reflect on how incredibly blessed we are with what we have and that I "should" be more relaxed.

But, we SAHM's do have our moments of frustrations!

I have had people ask if I was going to home school. It is great for those that can do it, but I don't have the nerves for it. I can't see me doing it. My son's social skills are not the best since he is around very little people now. He has no idea how to deal with other kids. He is too rough because he only plays with adults.

Oh Judith! "Don't have the nerves", you say. Oh my gosh, if you only knew me!! eek

As for "social skills" there are outlets to get the kids involved with other kids. In fact, where I live, I can actually utilize the public schools for whatever I want AND still have my children homeschooled. But, there are homeschool groups that offer TONS of group classes and activities. So, if you are actually interested, research it a bit over the internet.
Granted, it is TONS of work for the Mom. BUT... it's worth it (in my opinion) !!

Sometimes, I could pull my hair out strand by strand (here's "my nerves" talking!!LOL <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ) with all that I have to deal with. BUT...my kids are the BIGGEST, by far, asset I have. And, if I can give them a better education then the school system, then by God, I shall.

Okay, I now step down from my soap box!!! LOL

Best of luck in whichever road you travel.
Besides, you have time before school age.
Check it out.

I will have to see about it when I have a clear head. I am too tired to think about it too much.

I have been trying to just stop and enjoy them. It is just hard to slow down sometimes. You know how that is.
