I made a nice flyer in Word for my business. It uses two pictures that I insert from My Pictures. Every time I copy and paste this flyer into an e-mail, the pictures end up in wacko places on the page.

This is just the simple Word document. I don't even want to tell you what happens with the FrontPage version! <img src="/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" />

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've searched Help, Online Help, and everywhere else I can think for the solution.

How do I keep the images in site and in place in these documents? I did an e-mailing the other day that had to go without its photos because they disappeared when I sent the newsletter to the list owner.

Any simple solutions?

Thanks in advance.

You can't just copy and paste you word document into an e-mail. You would need to actually attach the document to the e-mail.

You also cannot just copy and paste pictures into an e-mail editor, they would need to be sent as attachments as well - that is why the photos disappeared.

The easiest solution would be to attach the flyer and force someone to download the attachment.

You could send it as an HTML file where you would have the pictures hosted on your website and then the e-mail would pull the pictures from your website so the person would see them but this is not an easy solution <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

So, the easiest thing for you to do is to send the e-mail in plain text and just use some color. This way you know what it will look like (or approximately what it will look like) and you know it will not be removed by spam blockers.

In your e-mail, send them to your website so they can see a fancier version of what they just read <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Thank you for your help!

Could you please tell me where to find info about the HTML option for newsletters? I've tried saving it into HTML, but don't seem to have found the right process yet.

If you have outlook, and you open an email, look under format. You have two options. Text and HTML. Pick HTML
