BellaOnline Forums TV and Movies Children's TV Has your child seen King Kong

The DVD came out last week and my 11 year old wants to get it. I think it is rated PG, but since we have all Jurassic Park movies I doubt this is worse than those.

Did anyone take their kids to see this movie when it was out in the theatres? Do you intend on purchasing it on DVD now that it is available?

Did your children like it - any idea how long the movie is? Any feedback is welcome to share here.

I didn't take the 8 year old to see it, but it is much like Jurassic Park in the fighting scenes. I loved the movie BTW and just purchased it. Since it is so long, I doubt my stepson would sit through it, except for the action scenes.

I don't believe there's any nudity, but there was hardly a dry eye in the house at the end, it's rather sad.

I bought the Special Edition today, has 2 discs runs for over 3 hours. My 11 year old is finishing homework and will watch one hour today.
