do you have the directions to make a split chain. I have a doily pattern that has split rings and chains and I don't know how to do the split chains

Hi,

I don't at present have instructions for doing the split chain here on BellaOnline - I haven't got round to it yet!

Could you please let me know whether you are tatting with a shuttle or a needle and I will provide you with a link to the instructions.

http://www.georgiaseitz.com/classes/gssplitchain.html (instructions for making the split chain itself)

http://www.paradisetreasures.com/scj.html (instructions for making the special join that Dora Young created for use with the split chain).

Good luck - remember it does take practise and don't get too frustrated if it doesn't work the first time.

oh thank you for answering, Yarnplayer. I've had family visiting and have been unable to get online enough to answer questions on the board. That would have been the tutorial I would have posted!
