I'm not talking about an extended vacation...just asking what you other Moms do when the day gets to be too much. Sometimes when the kids are getting to be too much to handle, and hubby is asking me where something is for the thousandth time, I just feel like running away. I know then that I need a breather.

I have found that sticking my nose in a book or magazine always helps...even if it's for a short amount of time. I always feel refreshed and able to face whatever it was that was getting to me before. But with 2 kids, I am not always able to do that (not enough quiet in my house!). Sometimes, if I can, I jump in the car and go around the block once or twice. I turn the radio up real loud and sing at the top of my lungs! That always helps.

Why is there never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over?

I think everyone feels like that once in awhile. In my case with a large family that is easier said than done. Our house is noisey at the best of times, and sometimes the 2year old will be crying the 4yr old will be moaning and screaming, she is special needs then the bird will be mimicking. Then I just start laughing, my hubby is in awe, and says gee thank goodness its bedtime. My 13 yr old is going on about that yucky smell. eek

You have a bird, too? Sometimes I think our parrot tries to compete with the kids. It's almost as if they are having a "Let's See Who Can Be The Loudest" contest!

You're right...you've just gotta laugh sometimes!
