Absolutely. Grounding is the first thing I teach any group. Black tourmaline is my all time favourite crystal for grounding & protection. Think I'll just nip off & get a big chunk

I know when I go to bigger community gatherings, if a ritual gets going enough and the people running it don't consider it, you can wind up with tons of folks very ungrounded at the end. All the newbies get overwhelmed by the energies and often could use some help bringing it back down.

At the alchemical fire circles I go to, the community is working to foster more general awareness and there are always healers on duty all ritual. The healing team is there both for purposeful healing work, and to help people who have something "pop," the phrase that has come to mean "something came up and out, and I was dealing with it." I myself haven't had a big pop yet at festival, but I've held space and witnessed for friends who have.

I myself have been a grounder for several big rituals. In fact, I am doing so this weekend

As I was living for awhile in a house where burning sage wasn't such a good idea, I made myself a sage mister so I could spritz an essential oil solution into the air. Turns out a few spritzs to people has a nice grounding effect too.

Nice tip! I'm teaching about using essential oils as energy tools this weekend. You just need to add a couple of drops of the oil to an atomiser of spring water. Give it a good shake & spray- good for the space & good for your aura. I dowse for which oil to use. Keep your eyes closed if you are spraying your aura & avoid delicate fabrics or polished surfaces.

I actually use a mister as well. I carry one with my ritual gear that has the same blend of oils that my ritual bath salts do. That way when I get to the ritual I can spritz away the mundane stuff from the drive and be ready for the ritual.

The one thing I always carry to large festivals is the Bach flower remedy Rescue Remedy. The Alt. Medicine site here has a ton of info on those. That's one of my weapons of last resort when I or someone else absolutely has to come down NOW.

Okay, why didn't I find this forum earlier???? Grounding, sage...now it's all coming back to me. No wonder I've been feeling all over the place lately.

Thanks girls
