The Como Restaurant in Niagara Falls, New York. Generations have been raised on their heaping pasta plates and legendary antipasto.

Thanks for the mention. Niagra Falls is one of those cities where tourists can get lost among chain food and bad places.

I LOVE LOVE Italian food, but there are no authentic Italian restaurants in north Alabama that I am aware of. The only authentic Italian rest. in Huntsville closed down. Boo hoo for me.

I'm anxiously awaiting the opening of Terra Nova on Hwy72.

Paula, I have not heard of it. Is this a chain as I think there is a few in the U.S. with this name of one similiar. Where and when, do you know?

It is on Hwy 72 near the new Providence area of Huntsville (just west of the car dealerships). I don't have any information about the place yet.

Amalfi's Italian Restaurant - 2 locations in Statesville, NC owned by the same family.
Worth the trip if you are ever in the Charlotte, NC area.

They have really amazing food AND if you go even on a semi-regular basis, they will let you order "off the menu" for special occasions ...

Garibaldi's in Charleston, SC.....in the Market District...really romantic.....great wine!

Don't you just LOVE SC? I think my favorite spot is Savannah. It is a little more laid back and not as commercialized.
