BellaOnline Forums TV and Movies Entertainment News Hey, who's watching the Oscars this evening?

I'll be here on the West Coast, where we know it's happening live. That is one good thing about moving from back East. I'm a big movie buff, and I studied fashion in college, so as a socio-political spectacle with costuming and movie trivia, it works for me.

Anyone else watching tonight? Do you stay home or go out somewhere to watch?

I was watching, notebook in hand, to take notes about everyone's jewelry. That said, I only saw one of the films nominated (Constant Gardener), so to be honest my heart wasn't really into it.

I do like Jon Stewart though, and I was curious how he'd do. (I thought he was a very odd choice to host.) But he pulled it off quite well.

I had not planned to watch it, but my husband wanted to see it. I enjoyed Jon Stewart. I saw him on the Daily Show talking about it. I think he was nervous.

I have not seen any of the movies that were up for anything. I don't get out to the movies too much, so I guess that is why I do classic films.

I logged on the Fark.com website and they had a very spirited thread of 'net geeks spouting off. Stayed there the whole 3.5 hours. In fact, my best friend, who lives in the Bay Area was there too. It was like being in a room with 500 people and I could talk to any of them, and her all at the same time.
