I asked my mother for her physician's phone number and after the two hour search for her address book, when we opened it up, it was... completely EMPTY!!

I can't get too frustrated with her though... I have a paper address book, but I don't use it because I prefer using my email contacts. But then I sometimes forget to add contacts and have to search email after email for an address. I guess both of our address books could stand some attention.

How are your's doing?

I use my yearly planners as address books. Each year's has all my daily notes in case I need to look up anything from prior years, plus whatever numbers I found important enough to have on hand each year. At the end of each year I store that planner next to the last one. I have planners going back seven or eight years.

And then I have a master phone number list on a rolodex on my desk.

So no actual "phone book". <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have a "main" phone book which is the bible of the house. Its an louis vuitton planner book - but no planner:) Just the phone book. Then I have online book which is not totally up to date. Phone book in the cell phone - which is hardly up to date. And a small paper phone book in my pocketbook in case I don't have the number in the phone:) In other words - a mess!

Hmmmmm.....

I keep the "Address/Phone" portion of my daily planner up-to-date. As my inlaws age, we are constantly in need of a number to contact a physician or extended family member.
