I'd love to go back and meet my 16-year old self. Give myself a good slap across the face, take the Snickers bar out of my hand, and give myself my record collection and a few books. LOL.

Oh, I think I'd probably have to go back more than once to kick myself in the butt! And I'd probably slap a couple of guys along the way, too!
And I would definitely go back and tell my Sr. Prom date "no", because I found out 2 days later that the sweetest guy had wanted to ask me out, but was too shy, and by the time he got his nerve up I was already going with someone else. I would have had a lot more fun with Chad!

Yes, I have been thinking about things, and I would most of all like to go back and enjoy the time I had with my children. Forget about the teenage screwups, I would just like more time with my children.

Ah Michelle, there are always going to be some decisions we regret- we can't go through every door that is opened to us, we have to make choices with the best information we have at the time. Hindsight is a glorious thing. However the beauty of this one is you can have an untainted daydream about the romantic time you could have had at that prom the daydream might be more fun & much longer lasting than the date!

Firefly- reading this one as a mum of a teenager here. Sooo difficult to stop silly spats. We are all human & although I pull myself up for it I lose it too! Doesn't mean we love our kids any less or that they stop loving us- thank goodness- but your post is a good reminder that these times are precious.

I think I would love to go back to the times of ancient Egypt, it'd be so interesting.

I think I would really like to go back to Elizabethan England. That was my specialization in college. I would love to meet Shakespeare. However, I could do without getting the plague.

The only thing that puts me off a bit is all the poor sanitation I'm not sure I'm cut out for open sewers.

Egypt I do fancy

I love the idea of watching something happen that we don't know the whys and wherefores of. Stonehenge- yes! Or visiting any one place to watch it change over the course of years- fascinating -like timelapse photography. I live at Niagara Falls and think it is really interesting to see how it has "backed up" 15 kms. from its origins. I would love to walk this area to see the landscape before the years have taken their toll.
