Whether you are trying to prevent Alzheimer's, manage the disease or are a caregiver, exercise has been proven to help. Exercise gets rid of stress for both caregiver and patient. Exercise sends oxygen to the brain and may help improve brain health. And don't forget that a workout like walking, using a stationary bike, or using light weights boosts the immune system and keeps you independent longer!
Do it together with your patient and watch both your moods improve! Science has proven it. I did it with my mother and not only did we have a good time, but it really strengthened her personality and gave her pride.
